TRULY THE MOST HEARTFELT ANIMAL RESCUE…

Tarmac Dog, ABOUT US.jpg

Got Spots Etc. was founded by Kathy Hynes over 12 years ago. Kathy is a Veteran United States Air Force Flight Nurse. The Organization was recognized as a non -profit by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2018. We are an active 501(c3) and have federal tax exempt status. It is a volunteer powered group of individuals that believe all dogs deserve an opportunity for health, happiness, and a loving family. The group has a Board of Directors that consist of a President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The group believes that spaying and neutering is paramount in curbing the over population of dogs thus the route to lower the killing of adoptable dogs in shelters.

The group believes that as individuals we have the ability as well as the responsibility to advocate for stronger laws/ regulations to prevent cruelty and neglect. Further, to speak up against situations where potential neglect or cruelty is occurring.

This organization is mainly dedicated to dogs that are older, have some physical disability, or in need of more medical care than the average shelter dog.

The group, under the guidance of Kathy Hynes RN BSN, is also dedicated to Providing Optimal Wellness Through the Human Animal Bond by offering and delivering seminars and lectures. In addition, Kathy previously wrote a monthly column on that topic in Creatures Corner News. She was a monthly contributor for Animal Life. Magazine. Kathy has had extensive experience in using her credentialed dogs in working with patients in many settings.

OUR PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS

Each rescued dog receives veterinary care to obtain ultimate health, proper training, and foster care. Once the dog is well enough and personality is known, he/she will be available for adoption where their personality and activity level will be matched with the adopter to ensure a forever home.

The community will obtain knowledge on the benefits of pet ownership on their wellness by having the option to attend seminars, lectures or contacting the organization for information.
